Worthless...

It is no secret that we hold John Youngberg DVM responsible for the deaths of Lucy, Shiloh, and Phaedra. (See Lucy's story)

Since Lucy's death, I have launched my own investigation to figure out what went wrong. I reached the firm conclusion that Youngberg perforated her uterus during the rough delivery, sending her into fatal Shock. The twins died as a result of Anaphylactic Shock with complications due to lack of colostrum. All three were victims of John Youngberg - DVM (Deadly Veterinarian Mistakes).

But it was only after John Youngberg black-balled my animals, I filed a complaint with the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine and began building this website.

The Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine dismissed our claim against John Youngberg DVM and the Mille Lacs Veterinary Clinic PA. Here is a copy of their letter of dismissal. I don't have a scanner, so I will type it in as it was written, sans fancy letterhead.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Lukens:

The Board of Veterinary Medicine Complaint Committee has completed its review of the complaint you submitted against John Youngberg, DVM.

The Board's authority is limited to the enforcement of specific state laws and rules of the Board governing the practice of veterinary medicine.  In order to take action against a licensee, the allegations in the complaint must be both jurisdictional and supported by evidence that would convince an Administrative Law Judge or a reviewing court that a violation of statutes or rules occurred.

In this case, the Committee determined that the allegations in the complaint did not indicate violations of the statutes and rules governing the practice of veterinary medicine. Accordingly, the Committee has dismissed the complaint.

We keep all complaints on file at the Board. Should future complaints of this nature come to the attention of the Board, the complaint will be reopened.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to the attention of the Board.

Sincerely,

John King, DVM

Executive Director

I cried when I read this letter. There will be no justice for Lucy and her babies. I'm not surprised. The Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine consists of veterinarians and John Youngberg is one of them.

The following is the "MISSION" statement taken directly from the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Practices' website:

Please notice the omission of any goal to protect animals.

We believe that the bogus Board failed to consider the following statute:

Minnesota Statute 156.081

Subd. 2. Causes. The board may revoke, suspend, or impose limitations upon a license for any of the following causes:

(11) fraud, deception, or incompetence in the practice of veterinary medicine, including any departure from or failure to conform to the minimum standards of acceptable and prevailing practice without actual injury having to be established;

After John Youngberg DVM was incompetent, he was deceptive.

(17) making a false statement or misrepresentation to the board.

Obviously... We know he lied on the autopsy report. So why not lie to the board?

According to the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Practices:

1. It is their accepted practice for veterinarians to divide doses of medicine (guesstimate) among multiple patients using a single syringe with a shared needle.

2. It is their accepted practice for veterinarians to administer medication without having adrenaline, epinephrine, or oxygen available in case of anaphylactic shock.

3. It is their accepted practice for veterinarians to cover up their mistakes through lying.

The minimum standards of veterinary practice in Minnesota

are way too minimum.
